Sharr Beteiligungs GmbH operates the single cement plant in Kosovo according to 10 years lease agreement, due in 2010. Company Sharrcem is known as a serious company, professional and very successful, achieving extraordinary improvements during the 9 years of its operation. Technical and environmental improvements have reached a very high level due to investments made by the company and the dedication of workers. Major achievements have been recorded in safety at work where numbers of accidents have been reduced to almost zero. Year after year, the operating results have consistently improved. The total turnover registered in 2008 was approximately 40 million EUR vs. ~ 20 million in 2002. Also for 2009 we as Sharrcem are confident to continue with this positive trend.
